Blink and You'll Miss Them—These 10 From-the-Vault Diptyque Favorites Are Back for a Limited Time Only
I'm going to have to ask you politely to run—don't walk. French perfume house Diptyque did not come to play this week. All of us here on Team Who What Wear are huge fans of the brand for its chic and downright intoxicating scents, but there are a few limited-edition runs it's released over the years that disappeared in a flash. Needless to say, I was very distraught whenever that happened. If you also missed out on any of these gone-too-soon items, you might be in luck this week. Diptyque is having its Archives Event, bringing back old limited-edition favorites today through Sunday, August 18. You'll definitely want to make haste here, these items are bound to sell out, especially if they have limited stock.
As a bonus, with the code VAULT, you'll also receive a free small Citronnelle candle with any purchase from the vault collection. Citronnelle is zesty, summery, floral, and a downright must for any candle connoisseur's collection. For everything I'm shopping, keep on reading. I'm sharing what's in my cart below.
Just in time for fall, this archived candle from Diptyque is loaded with fresh notes of chestnut, pumpkin, spices, and green fruit for a crisp, seasonal scent.
Key notes: Prickly pear, iris, bergamot, jasmine
Ilio is a tribute to the Mediterranean with floral and fruity notes of prickly pear, iris, and jasmine. It smells so fresh and breezy, truly like a vacation, bottled. This limited-edition run of the fragrance with a specially designed label is back on the market for a short period of time.
Tuberose is a tricky perfume note because not everyone loves it, but if you do, this candle is out-of-this-world good. It's limited edition, housed in a gorgeous blue jar, and is meant to evoke the scent of fragrant white flowers on the plains of India.
Key notes: Tuberose, orange blossom, jasmine
I am obsessed with Diptyque's cult-loved scent Du Son and was ecstatic when I got my hands on a bottle in this gorgeous limited-edition blue color. Looks like the brand is bringing it back for a limited time. If you're not familiar with this one, it's one of Diptyque's best-selling scents and was inspired by founder Yves Coueslant's summers in the coastal village of Do Son. Like I said, Diptyque is so great at invoking scent memory and making you feel like you're somewhere you've never been (but definitely want to go ASAP).
If this marbled-clay candle isn't an aesthetic, I'm not sure what is. If you tend to go for woody, earthy notes like atlas cedar and white musk, this is the candle for you. This is Diptyque's 60th anniversary candle, back to dazzle us once again through Sunday. Inspired by a trip the founders took to Byblos, Lebanon, spices and precious woods take center stage, but it also features heady notes of roasted coffee and fresh cardamom.
Key notes: Turkish rose, incense, vetiver, beetroot accord
This special fragrance, inspired by Kyoto, Japan, is another from the vault that features rich notes of Turkish rose, incense, vetiver, and beetroot accord. You'll definitely want to grab this one while you can since it's no longer available for purchase normally.
I love rich notes of berries in both fragrances and candles, so this fresh and tangy candle is an automatic add-to-cart for me. While it does feature juicy notes of blackcurrant, it also has a bit of rose mixed in for good measure.
Shopping the holiday collection at Diptyque is my Olympics. I'm sure the brand will have some new favorites to offer once the season rolls around, but I can't pass up the opportunity to snag this fir tree–scented candle from the archives. I mean, it's pretty self-explanatory—it smells exactly like a forest of pine trees, and it immediately makes me want to take a vacation to a cabin in the woods.
Key notes: Roses Damascena, centifolia, chamomile, litchi, artichoke
An homage to the classic perfume note of rose, this limited-edition version of another cult-loved Diptyque scent is so beautiful.
Key notes: Lemongrass, geranium, eucalyptus, neroli, orange blossom
Body sprays are back, folks! While you'll receive a small Citronnelle candle for free when you purchase anything from the vault, this body spray version of the scent is also a must.
