TikTok-Viral and French-Girl Approved, This Under-the-Radar Perfume Is Trending for All the Right Reasons
My entire TikTok FYP is filled with people's fragrance recommendations. From Libre by YSL to Delina by Parfums De Marly, some of my most-complimented perfumes are a direct result of being influenced by TikTok videos and comments. However, my favourite kind of fragrance videos are the ones where people ask unassuming bystanders on the street what perfume they are currently obsessed with. Recently, a particular video caught my eye, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about the fragrance that was mentioned.
This particular video has gone viral, with 5.8 million views and over half a million likes. Shared on @the_gloss, two incredibly chic French women share their top fragrances, and one of them happens to be a pretty affordable favourite of mine. Forget your usual, go-to brands, as I'm talking about Eau Dynamisante from none other than French favourite, Clarins. In my opinion, this perfume is totally underrated, so I was very happy to see it getting the love it truly deserves.

Clarins Dynamisante Perfume Review
The Notes
As with any fragrance, the main thing you want to know is what it smells like. However, I feel like I need to give a little bit of backstory. You see, not only is this perfume designed to smell good, but it actually has skincare benefits and helps to promote a feeling of well-being. If you've ever been to a Clarins spa, you'll notice that they often have a bottle of this scent in the treatment rooms, which proves just how relaxing it is.
So, onto the notes. The fragrance contains lots of aromatic essential oils including citrus fruit, patchouli, bitter orange, rosemary and white thyme, alongside aloe vera and ginseng to leave skin feeling hydrated and soft. Thanks to the impressive formula, this product can be used on even the most sensitive skin.
In my opinion, the citrus fruits really are the stand-out notes in this fragrance. You can smell the sparkling, fresh, uplifting scent as soon as it touches your skin, and it immediately puts a spring in your step. That being said, the perfume definitely has a spa-like quality, and makes me feel as if I am floating down the halls of a five-star hotel in a white waffle robe after a full-body massage.
Although there is a slight juxtaposition between the uplifting, citrusy opening and the calming base notes, it makes for a truly unique finish that will not only earn you compliments, but will also help you feel ready to tackle the day.
The Longevity
This scent definitely lingers on the skin, however I do sometimes find that I have to top it up throughout the day. That being said, as this fragrance is designed to boost your wellbeing, it's the sort of scent that you want to top up throughout the day to help boost your mood. Plus, for only £42 per 100ml, I don't mind having an extra spritz now and again.
The Packaging
Something that I love about this fragrance is that the bottle comes in the signature Clarins shade of red. There's something so simple yet so striking about it, and every time I get it out of my bag people always ask me what perfume it is I'm using. It's also pretty sleek which means that it's easy to carry when you're on the go.
