This French Perfume Makes Me Smell Like a Garden Fairy, and It's 30% Off RN
If you'd asked me two months ago, I'd have told you I wasn't a floral perfume person. I adored them when I was younger and still dipping my toes into the vast world of fragrance (a bright floral is one of the most classic, universal scents), but now I prefer a woody, amber-y aroma to something soft and sweet.
Recently, however, I came across Diptyque's Eau Rose Eau de Parfum—a signature floral powered by damascena and centifolia roses (as the name suggests). The bottle itself was too pretty to give up, and I'm generally a sucker for gorgeous packaging, so I decided to give it a whirl.
I won't bury the lede: Eau Rose is now one of my favorites in my fragrance collection, and I don't plan on replacing it anytime soon. It's a good thing the perfume is majorly discounted right now for Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale! From now until August 4, You can score the full-size eau de parfum and its equally chic hair perfume for $119. (Normally, the duo would set you back $170.) Find more details below, along with 10 other on-sale fragrances to shop during Nordstrom's iconic event.
The Best Perfumes to Buy During Nordstrom's Anniversary Sale
The whole WWW beauty team seriously cannot get enough of Diptyque. We each have our go-to favorites (mine recently becoming this Eau Rose number), but we align on the fact that this delicate rose scent is the epitome of elegance. In addition to the two types of rose extracts, it also features firad rose essence, which is essentially upcycled floral water from the initial extraction process. It makes me feel like a garden fairy every time I wear it. I also love that the brand included the matching hair mist in this set—hair perfume just makes me feel fabulous.
Mojave Ghost and Gypsy Water are two of my favorite Byredo fragrances, so I was psyched to see them included in this adorable trio, along with the floral Bal d'Afrique.
Doesn't Parfums de Marly have just the dreamiest bottles? I, for one, am itching to display these on my vanity. The Delina Exclusif Eau de Parfum is my favorite of the trio—it's a spicy floral that adds a musky edge to the signature Turkish rose.
Jo Malone has created some of the most irresistible scents in the game, including this fresh, sea salt elixir. It's meant to evoke the scent of waves crashing against a rocky cliff, and I honestly can't think of anything more idyllic.
If you're into rose fragrances, you must add this Chloé floral to your collection. It's a gorgeous twist on the classic scent—lychee adds some fruity freshness, while warm amber and cedarwood give it an earthy edge.
I've recommended this duo before, and I'll recommend it again until everyone I know has it in their beauty arsenal. Vacation's scent is summer in a bottle—coconut, banana, and notes of "pool toy" transport you right to a sunny getaway.
I literally gasped when I saw this fragrance on Nordstrom's sale page. Versace Bright Crystal was the first designer perfume I ever owned, as I immediately fell in love with the fruity, slightly musky floral. If you prefer your florals on the subtler side, this is a fantastic option for you. Plus, the bottle is just so pretty.
Tom Ford's Lost Cherry fragrance is famous in its own right—its aroma of juicy black cherries, sweet almond, Turkish rose, and sambac is straight-up irresistible. It's so popular that the brand created two other popular cherry fragrances, Electric Cherry and Cherry Smoke, both of which are included in this set of three.
French lavender essence and Moroccan orange blossom make such a lovely pair, while musk accord grounds the blend and adds a touch of woodiness. I also adore a chic cosmetic bag—especially one from YSL.
Name a more iconic fragrance than Le Labo's Santal 33. I'm waiting! People can't get enough of the intense sandalwood scent, but Le Labo has so many more mesmerizing perfumes waiting just around the corner. Why not test the waters with its discovery set? Lavande 31 (a sophisticated lavender) is one of my absolute favorites, and Another 13 is so intriguing with its jasmine, amber, and moss notes.
"Floral-ambery woody" is officially my favorite way to describe a perfume. A little musky, a tad fluttery, and all-around inviting—it's perfect.
