I Founded the First Plant-Based Feminine-Care Brand—Here's My Morning Routine
What's the first thing you do when you get out of bed in the morning? A well-rounded morning routine sets the tone for the day and gets you prepped—both mentally and physically—before diving into a packed schedule filled with emails, chores, happy hours, workouts, and more. Our series Morning Person profiles those who have mastered the art of the morning routine.
Tune in every Monday and Friday morning here and on our Instagram to learn exactly how the pros get it all done before the sun comes up, from their go-to breakfasts to their a.m. workouts.
"If you’re here because your honeypot is unhappy, I’ve been there,” writes Bea Dixon, founder and CEO of The Honey Pot Company, the first plant-based feminine-care system, on her site’s About page. This notion served as a catalyst in starting her company.
Here at THE/THIRTY, we’re big fans of The Honey Pot Company, whose line of natural vaginal and menstrual-care products is made with herbs, botanicals, and antioxidants, so we’re excited to see how Bea starts a typical morning.
Keep reading to see the rituals that she prioritizes to help her run a growing business.
6:30 A.M.
Wake up and drink two large glasses of room temperature water infused with lemon or lime.
7:15 A.M.
Sometimes I meditate before I work out for at least five to 10 minutes. I then work out with my trainer through FaceTime.
8:30 A.M.
I meditate after my workouts so I can be still and allow my body to rest. I just picked up the habit of writing at least one thing that I’m grateful for, and that’s normally right after my meditation.
9 A.M.
Beauty time. I rinse my face with cold water. I brush my teeth with my Quip toothbrush and Dentisse toothpaste in Mint.
I clean my face with Pholk Beauty Daily Detox Face Wash and Honeysuckle Rose Face Mist. I also love Dr. Bronner's Peppermint or Tea Tree Body Wash.
Of course, I use The Honey Pot Company Normal Foaming Wash to keep my honeypot healthy. I spritz some of our Lavender Refreshing Panty Spray on my undies and Honey Pot Vulva Cream as a nice moisturizer down there.
I am also obsessed with essential oils, which is why I slather Vitruvi lavender oil on my body before getting my day going!
9:45 A.M.
I make myself a cup of coffee. My favorite is the Stumptown Coffee Roasters Hundred Mile Jam & Toffee Flavor. I like my coffee to be on the lighter side, so I use Chobani Extra Creamy Oat Milk and Truvia or agave to sweeten. I also drink another glass of water.
Afterward, I eat breakfast. My current favorite is Just Eggs with avocado and greens on the side with sundried tomatoes.
10:20 A.M.
I go to my porch office because it’s beautiful and green and I love the birds singing. It's my favorite place to work! From here, I'm on calls and speaking engagements for the rest of the day.
