Luxury Resellers Are Everywhere, But We Trust This One for Authentic Finds
Sponsor Content Created With eBay
In an industry inundated with fast-fashion brands, the steady rise of luxury resale retailers is a welcome change for those who prefer to invest in their wardrobe and shop more sustainably. Of course, you risk getting duped by a knockoff—something many fall victim to. For me, it was the "designer" necklace I purchased when I was 19 years old. Looking back, it's inauthenticity couldn't have been more obvious (I'm talking misspelled logo obvious), but at the time, I couldn't believe I had found a high-end item I could afford. Nineteen-year-old me desperately needed a program like eBay's Authenticity Guarantee, which has a team of trained experts who meticulously inspect each product that qualifies. When looking for luxury watches, fine jewelry, designer handbags, and sneakers on eBay, shoppers can feel confident that their purchase is the real deal. And since I'm always curious about what my colleagues are shopping for, I've tapped Associate Director of Fashion News Erin Fitzpatrick to share her current lineup. Keep reading to shop her selects, all of which are far more reliable than my great necklace disappointment of 2016.

Street Style Sneakers
"Dad sneakers are still very much on-trend! These chunky shoes by New Balance have a retro feel but are actually brand new. I own so many white and black sneakers, so this forest-green color is a welcome change."
"Nike Dunk sneakers are iconic for a reason: They're incredibly cool and timeless. I love that eBay has expert authenticators who analyze every single pair of eligible sneakers so you'll never get a fake."
"As any celebrity stylist would tell you, the Adidas Samba is the number-one sneaker in Hollywood right now. So many celebrities own these kicks, so why shouldn't I get in on the fun?"
"Nike Cortez sneakers first debuted in 1972, so they're the perfect shoes to get that coveted '70s look. I'm quite partial to this classic colorway."
"Everyone needs a quality pair of white sneakers in their life. These Nike Air Max Excee shoes are trendy thanks to the chunky sole but are still supremely wearable. The perfect combination, if you ask me."
Jewelry & Watches
"I'm drooling over this vintage '70s gold watch. Patek Philippe is one-third of the so-called 'holy trinity' of watch brands, so it's one of the smartest investments on the market."
"I couldn't believe I found these unique Tiffany & Co. earrings from the '80s designed by the legendary Elsa Peretti. The sculptural gold earrings are inspired by lily flowers and are absolutely red carpet worthy."
"This dainty sterling-silver chain necklace by David Yurman is a great starter piece in the world of designer jewelry because it's super versatile and will go with anything and everything you already own. It's truly the ultimate everyday luxury that I can wear with a white T-shirt or a little black dress."
"If you're ready to build a jewelry collection worthy of the red carpet, you can find so many beautiful pieces authenticated by the experts at eBay, including this 14k yellow-gold pair."
"So many celebrities own the Cartier Panthère watch. It's been my dream watch purchase for a long time, and I know I'll be going to eBay when I'm ready to take the plunge. How stunning is this diamond-bezel version?"
Designer Handbags
"'70s style and suede go together like PB&J. This is a beautiful vintage Gucci bag from 1973, and it's giving me laid-back Laurel Canyon vibes."
"I'm a sucker for Saint Laurent bags, and this is an exceptional one. The shearling trim is a luxe touch, and the brown suede is so '70s."
"The Gucci Jackie bag has earned a cult following among celebrities. Named after Jackie Kennedy, the bag has never gone out of style since it debuted in the '60s. You simply can't go wrong with a classic black version like this one."
"The podcast episode on celebrity styling reminded me that I don't own a proper evening bag. This one by Gucci is divine. It has a pretty butterfly clasp that's so on-trend right now, and the champagne color is neutral enough to go with lots of different outfits. Even if there's no red carpet in my future, I'll feel like a million bucks with this bag, which has been authenticated by the experts."
"When investing in designer pieces, I tend to gravitate toward versatile items that I can wear often, thereby reducing the cost per wear. This Celine stunner is a foolproof purchase because it's the definition of timeless."
