Ashley Graham Proves She Is the Queen of the "Naked" Dress
On Thursday night, Ashley Graham accepted the Model of the Year Award at the Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, and she proved that she is also the leader of the "naked" dress trend. Ashley wore a totally sheer black dress, revealing her bra and black briefs, covered with black beading all over the dress and silver fringed beading over the neckline.
The dress is a custom design by the Italian plus-size clothing label Marina Rinaldi—a brand that Ashley has a close relationship with, as in September, the model revealed that she was working on a denim collection with the brand. The extreme "naked" dress trend shows no sign of slowing down, as ever since Rihanna wore a sheer Swarovski-encrusted Adam Selman gown to the CFDA Awards in 2014, every major red carpet has seen an interpretation of the trend.
