I'm Picky With Jeans, But I Can't Stop Wearing This Straight-Leg Pair From Arket

Since it first launched in the UK in 2017, Arket has become our go-to for classic, expensive-looking wardrobe staples. So much so that we’re not sure where we shopped for our elevated basics before it reached our shores. From its cult blazer and sellout striped jumper to the perfect white T-shirt, Arket's pieces consistently impress us with their quality and design as well as their commitment to sustainability. (A lot of the pieces are now made using recycled or responsibly sourced materials.) It should come as no surprise, then, when we tell you that the brand's denim offering is, in our opinion, one of the best on the high street.

In particular, there’s one style I’ve tried recently that I love so much and have been wearing on repeat. It’s the Jade Cropped Slim Stretch Jeans, and they’re such a good discovery that I just had to share them with you all.

The perfect straight-leg jeans.

Comfortable and classic.

I style mine most often right now with a T-shirt and cosy knit and then throw my Arket blazer (or more likely my puffer or smart coat) over it to finish the look. But let me tell you these jeans are versatile, and can pretty much be styled with anything. The slim straight ankle sits seamlessly over everything from chunky ankle boots to loafers and heels, and they even slip into knee-high boots nicely. Because they’re so classic, I have faith they’ll pretty much fit into any wardrobe and make everything you own work harder. The best part about them, though? Thanks to the slight stretch, they’re seriously comfy, which has become a priority for me when buying denim these days. Anyone else relate?

This specific pair currently comes ineight colours, but there are also similar full length and a cropped but slightly more straight, looser-leg version (that I also purchased and can confirm are brilliant). Sizing wise, Arket jeans in general fit smaller than average, so as a size 10 I always size up to a 29 or 30, but obviously, as with any pair of jeans, it's a trial and error process to find the perfect fit to suit your body. I'm also 5'2", which is probably why I enjoy Arket's cropped jeans range so much—while they might hit quite high on the ankle if you're taller, for any of us short girls under 5'5" it's rather nice not having to take a trip to the tailor. Keep scrolling to shop my current favourite pair of jeans and more classic pairs that you'll no doubt live in from Arket.
