Arket Has Just Updated Its Cult Puffer Coat for 2022, and It's So Good
Arket’s puffer coats have become somewhat of a cult classic in fashion circles over the past few years. If you remember, we reported on just how good the brand’s Long Down Puffer Coat (£225) is towards the end of 2021 when Who What Wear UK editor Emma Spedding chose it over all the rest when searching for the *perfect* style. But it’s not just us who’s obsessed. So many influencers and editors have been spotted in the high-street store’s cosy down coats, and the item even made it into Lyst’s top 10 biggest-selling items of the year all the way back in 2020. Since then, this practical coat has only gotten more and more popular, proving its cost-per-wear worth and becoming fashion gold dust as the months get colder. These days, it’s sold out more often than it’s in stock.
So when we saw that Arket had released an updated version of its popular style, we knew we had to share it with you. Like its predecessor, the 2021 Waisted Down Jacket (£190) is made from recycled down and comes in two different lengths. The main difference between the original and this style is the flattering new drawstring detail at the waist. The new version comes in the classic black and beige shades, but Arket has also released a fresh green colourway that we just can’t get out of our heads. It may seem like a bold move, but green has basically become a neutral in the coolest wardrobes, and it’s not going anywhere for 2022. So it’s likely you’ll get just as much wear out of this unique shade, especially if you’re a colour lover.
We’re predicting this will be a new favourite in no time, so if you missed out on the original design or are looking for an update, keep scrolling to shop.
