Here's What Our Editors Always Buy From Arket
With its premium expensive-looking fabrics, classic fits and chic colourways, it's no surprise that Arket has become a go-to in the wardrobes of fashion editors everywhere. You need only go into one of the stores to understand that this is a brand that knows how the consumer wants to shop and what they want to buy. I mean, its colour-coded sock wall is enough to make any perfectionist go weak at the knees.
But really, what we want to talk about is the clothes, and specifically the clothes our editors buy from Arket. After a bit of digging, it turned out that each Who What Wear editor has one category in particular that they turned to, for example, Hannah Almassi waxes lyrical about the flattering fit of the trousers (take note if you struggle to find a good fit on the high street), while Poppy Nash can't get enough of Arket's cult puffer coats, aka the dream winter purchase.
So whether you're new to Arket or a fellow fan, scroll down to get inspired by the pieces our editors buy year after year.
Editor in Chief Hannah Almassi: Trousers
"Buying trousers on the high street (or anywhere for that matter) is always my fashion Everest. Being petite with a small waist but bigger thighs and bottom means sizing and silhouette is almost always off. Somehow Arket just works for my body, especially when the trousers are cut high-waisted and with extra volume in the leg. I've worn these khaki ones non-stop since I bought them at the beginning of the year—and I didn't even have to take the hems up!"
SHOP THE LOOK:
A great pair of black tailored trousers will be a staple for decades.
These feel very autumnal, don't they? I would style them with a chunky cable knit and square-toe boots.
Just like my khaki trousers, I would keep these elevated with a tailored blazer.
A stretch-waist is an easy detail that shouldn't go unnoticed. Not only does it make a tailored trouser extra comfy, it also makes them instantly more relaxed, too.
Managing Editor Poppy Nash: Puffer Coat
"I'm a summer person at heart, so autumn/winter dressing always stumps me. One thing I do know is that great outerwear on the high street can be hard to find, but thankfully Arket has us all covered. The brand's puffer coat is my ultimate favourite piece thanks to its winning trifecta of being comfy, practical and yet undeniably stylish. I wear mine at the weekend over leggings and knee-high boots, but I also throw it over my dresses for work and my mini skirts in the evening. Because let's face it, the cold weather sucks the fun out of getting dressed up, so I find it's best to always have a warm layer at hand."
SHOP THE LOOK:
I have it, I love it and I wear it every single year. I pair mine with a chunky knit, leggings and thick tread boots.
Acting Assistant Editor Maxine Eggenberger: Striped Knitwear
"Call me a cliché, but that's always what I'm looking for when I'm shopping, which is why Arket's knitwear section is such a draw for me. Right now, there's a fringed knitted dress, a cutout asymmetric trop, and a oversized roll-neck that tick that box. However, if you're a classicist like me, then you’ll probably be gravitating towards the brand’s impressive striped styles. My favourites include the vertical block-stripe iterations but, truly, there’s a stripe for everyone! Finally, to keep your Arket stripe knits looking good, I implore you to invest in a fabric shaver to get rid of all those bobbly bits."
SHOP THE LOOK:
Showcase these statement sleeves by styling this knit with a sleeveless gilet in a contrasting colour.
This has already sold out once, and I don't intend on letting history repeat itself by missing it again.
I know I'll live in this classic style this season. Styling wise, my initial thoughts are leggings and knee-high boots
Polo collars are continuing to dominate the knitwear scene this season, so this style is a sensible investment.
Shopping Editor Remy Farrell: Boots
"From the knee-high to the chunky Cheslea, Arket has long been my failsafe when it comes to winter boots. And if there's one thing you need to know about me, it's that I know how to track down a great pair of boots. Arket is nailing the timeless black boot in all its variations this season, and I always think the high street hero is one of the best for quality."

Video Content Creator Remi Afolabi: Hopsack Blazers
"I really think Arket does the best tailoring on the high street—and I'm an avid fan of the hopsack blazer. The style has amassed a cult following, and it's not surprising when the oversized fit works with anything from jeans and a T-shirt to over a slip dress. And considering Arket brings back the style each and every year, I rest my case on how it's naturally a best-seller."
SHOP THE LOOK:
No need to size up with these blazers, unless you want to, of course.
