If I Were to Buy Only One Coat This Year, It Would Be This One

If the Who What Wear team popped up in the next Marvel remake (a sight to behold), our superpower would most definitely be the ability to spot a cult fashion item from a mile away. Not quite as useful as the power of flight, sure, but we’ll take it.

Our powers seem to be particularly tuned in to spotting great pieces on the high street that look very luxurious without the designer-size price tag. When said pieces come in the form of a wardrobe classic rather than something that's too trend-led, even better. Well, that’s exactly what happened when we came across this belted leather coat from & Other Stories.

As we all know, leather coats are timeless and slip into a capsule wardrobe very easily throughout the seasons but also elevate your look as a statement piece. So when we spotted this classic black trench-style version, we have to admit it stopped us in our tracks. At £429 it’s still a serious investment for most of us, but it is 100% buttery-soft Nappa leather—which, from a designer, would carry a much higher price tag.

Whether you’ve been considering investing in a leather coat for some time but haven’t managed to find the perfect one or you see this and realise it’s the hero piece you never knew you needed, we’ve linked it below for your perusal. Keep scrolling to see and shop.
