I'm an Amazon Live Style Host—Here's Everything in My Amazon Cart Right Now
If you've ever tried to shop on Amazon for fashion items, you know just how intimidating the retailer's never-ending selection can be. While there are certain wardrobe basics and trendy items we gravitate toward on the site, we could always use a bit of guidance in this department. That's exactly where today's expert, Katie Sands, comes in. In addition to creating her own popular lifestyle blog, Honestly Kate, Sands is one of Amazon Live's on-air style hosts, where she interviews celebrities and designers, lends fashion tips, and curates affordable shopping guides for Amazon's online viewers.
Beyond simply reading reviews and ratings, Sands and her team get to experience firsthand all the tops, jeans, shoes, and bags they're recommending. "By physically holding the product in an unedited live stream, I am able to show how it really looks or how long it takes to put it together," she explained. In other words, if anyone knows their way around the best Amazon shopping and what's (really) worth adding to your cart, it's Sands.
Ahead, take a look at everything that's currently residing in her cart, from a cool shacket to that "famous" $18 tank top, and get inspired by how she wears them along the way.
"If I had to pick one pair of pants to wear for the rest of my life, these would be them. The Levi's 501 Skinny Jeans are my go-to denim for every occasion under the sun. Dress them up, dress them down—they always look incredible."
"Retailing under $30, this is the perfect Zoom date-night top. Plus, it's a perfect MDW/4th of July top you can pair with almost anything. It's sexy yet still sophisticated."
"If you don't yet know Pavoi, you will! The most coveted costume jewelry there is. I buy these gold hoops in bulk, and I'm not afraid of losing them or bringing them on vacation. Plus, they are light as a feather. Take it from someone who has super-sensitive ears."
"I could do a whole stream on why ribbed sweater dresses are the newest obsession, but I will leave it here with the fact that this one, in particular, is the most comfortable and flattering to any body type."
"It's the year of the shacket. The shirt-jacket trend is perfect for layering in the colder months and wearing with an open T-shirt for the warmer months. It feels like you're wearing a fuzzy flannel all day long. I love this specific piece under $70 from one of my fellow influencers turned designer."
"The ever-so-trendy pouch clutch isn't going anywhere just yet, but why spend a fortune on it from a high-end designer when you can snag it for under $50 on Amazon. Plus, this one has a strap to wear crossbody!"
"The everyday fleece. My personal favorite because I designed it myself. I love a good fleece that is just as cozy on the outside as it is on the inside. Designed by my audience statistics, I'm so thrilled it is being sold on Amazon!"
"The vaccine top. I say this with a smirk because that's what all tops with 'cold shoulders' have been now labeled. But in all honesty, this is my favorite 'hang around the house' top. You automatically look pulled together if you have to hop on a Zoom meeting."
"Tech accessories are all the rage this year. A place you can store your wallet, keys, phone, and Kindle. Sign me up!"
"I'm all about making power moves and wearing outfits that make me feel like a boss. This padded-shoulder tank is a way to up your T-shirt game and walk in with confidence."
"If you don't already own this leopard skirt, you must go and grab it before it's completely gone. The It skirt of the summer is here to stay. Pair it with a simple tank, an oversize sweater. Any way you wear it will be cool."
"The basic white tank everyone needs 10 of. The comfiest and stretchiest there ever was. Comes in every colorway to wear under leather jackets with cutoff shorts and a great pair of pumps."
"My favorite non-workout workout shorts. Because of the cotton material, I love to wear these with my Vichyie tank, a shacket, and my Hoka sneakers for a day out running errands."
"For a sneaker, they are definitely on the pricey side. However, these are my every-dang-day kicks. They make you feel as though you're walking on a cloud with all the support you need to not twist your ankle."
"My go-to housewarming gift is this booty vase. I just think it is so much fun to spruce up the home, and it's a great conversation starter."
"The most 'leathery' vegan-leather jacket there is on the market at the moment. And trust me. I have tried them all."
"The perfect bridesmaid gift. A coin pendant that won't break the bank."
"With over 10,000 positive reviews and ratings on Amazon, these oversize cat-eye glasses are better than any designer pair I've put on. They are truly the sisterhood of the traveling sunglasses, looking good on any- and everyone."
"The perfect cap toe with an ode to Chanel, these come in multiple color-blocking colorways and are the perfect pumps to wear when you finally go back to the office."
"Must-have cover-up of the season. I love an eyelet moment, and shopping for this baby doll–style cover-up is getting me so excited for summer. Can we just skip the spring months already?"
"The perfect transitional wrap dress. This wrap dress I found on Amazon looks similar to the couture version that came out this fall. However, this one retailing under $50 will give you the same elevated style without breaking the bank yet again."
"My go-to summer sandal. The shoes I get stopped and asked about the most in my wardrobe are these rope sandals. They are the comfiest sandals I've worn, and they truly mold to your feet."
"The snakeskin belt bag is the perfect 'run out for coffee' or 'I'm walking the dog and need a hands-free bag' type of accessory."
"The famous $15 fedora that fits every head shape with the adjustable strap."
"This boho-chic number has been a fan favorite since it hit the site. The easy T-shirt dress can take you from day to night. Work to the weekend by just belting it or adding a cropped denim jacket."
