Amal Clooney Wore Fall's Biggest Boot Trend With a Skort for Her Anniversary

Amal Clooney's work wardrobe is all business, but off duty, she's proven time and again that she likes to have fun with her style. Case in point: A few days ago, she stepped out with husband George Clooney on their fifth wedding anniversary wearing an eye-catching look that left us with a lot to think about.

On the celebratory day, Amal wore an It color (fuchsia), fall's biggest boot trend (knee boots), and a mini skort (yes, skort). On paper, it sounds like a lot going on, but take a look and you'll see that Clooney definitely makes it work—likely because she stuck with easy-to-wear black pieces with the hot-pink top. And while knee-high boots are an obvious choice with, say, skinny jeans, Clooney's choice to pair them with a skort (sidenote: Are they coming back?) proves just how versatile this reigning boot trend is. Scroll on to see the fun look for yourself and to shop the Clooney-approved boot trend (and skorts, if she's left you inspired).
