Remember Sneakerdrilles? This Is the 2018 Version
Last summer, I made an observation that sneakerdrilles were suddenly everywhere, with brands like Vans, Alexander Wang, Zara, and Superga jumping on board and releasing their own iterations of the hybrid espadrille sneakers. As the summer continued, we saw more and more brands embrace the trend, which proved to be the perfect way to update your sneaker wardrobe for the warmer months. But it's a new year with a whole new set of sneaker trends, and one of the biggest ones as of late is sock sneakers.
It's only natural that brands would reimagine previous trends to make them feel fresh in 2018, and that's exactly what Alexander Wang has done, by releasing two styles of sock sneaker espadrilles. The stretchy, lightweight sneakers (one with laces and one without) are the ultimate comfort shoes to wear this spring and summer, and may even be a future It shoe. We'll find out in a few short months. Shop the Alexander Wang sock sneakerdrilles below.
