Can You Decipher These Clues From Gucci's Creative Director?
Mystery and Gucci’s Alessandro Michele kind of go hand-in-hand when we think about it. Before his appointment to Gucci less than two years ago he flew under the radar. Many, even within the fashion industry, didn’t know his name. That’s not the case anymore, not by a long shot. But now, mystery very much plays a part in today’s news from Gucci, as Michele took over the brand’s Instagram account to give us a peek behind the making of the S/S 17 campaign.
Through Instastories, Michele showed us landscapes of Italy; beautiful embroidered fans that are plucked from the runway; and breathtaking dresses featuring swans and embellished tigers. Picturing the new campaign images yet? Yeah, we’re a little stuck, too. But with a combination of Michele’s designs and a romantic, historic Italian backdrop, we know we’re in for something good.
Check out a few of the clues from Michele himself below.
First clue: Rome’s Palace of Justice.
We’re such big Gucci fans, too.
Can’t say we’re surprised by these stunning dresses, but delighted nonetheless.
And Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, or the Fountain of Four Rivers. Any guesses?
