If you abide by a minimal approach to fashion, getting dressed for an evening out probably doesn’t include any loud prints or flashy jewelry. After all, minimalism is all about simplicity and clean lines rather than anything too busy. But how does minimalism translate to after 5 attire?

Interested to find out one woman's approach, we tapped Débora Rosa—a chic Portuguese fashion girl whose minimal style deserves your attention. From a quick glance at her Instagram, you’ll notice her penchant for pieces from Céline and The Row—both masters of minimal fashion. But she also has an expert ability to pluck pieces from affordable retailers like H&M and make them look equally cool and fashion-forward.

When asked about her approach to nighttime dressing, Rosa told Who What Wear, “For the evening or going out I always rely on my three-rule mantra: Comfort, black canvas, sexy-chic.” These pieces ground her look but she “normally starts with something black: a tee, jeans, trousers, dress, or blouse.” And her go-to outfit for a night out? She told Who What Wear that she tends to rely on “black jeans, suede pointy heeled boots, a silk cami top, a black blazer, and … some jewelry.” Ahead, shop pieces to tap into her cool minimal style for a night out.
