7 Under-$200 Items That Have Hit Cult Status
We love keeping a close eye on the It items that are destined for cult status every season, but oftentimes the list can feel somewhat unattainable. Not all of us can get our hands on the wildly popular Chloé C Bag that has a devout following and a price tag of $1800 or Rixo’s pleated tiger-print skirt that has fast become the It item of the year. Luckily, fashion girls are also partial to great affordable fashion finds too—there are plenty of attainable pieces that are quickly reaching (if they haven't already reached) cult status.
Below we’re highlighting some of our favorites for under $200. From animal-print pieces (still going strong!) to sporty sandals to seashell jewelry, it’s time to get your hands on these items that we’re predicting will be all over our Instagram feeds throughout the season ahead.
Floral-Print Dress
Last year, the second Topshop released that polka-dot dress, we knew it would be a hit. This year the fast-fashion retailer has come out with a new punchy print frock to get that is getting us seriously excited for the warm season ahead. The Austin is a playful, eclectic, and feminine frock perfect for every summer soirée on your social calendar. The best part? It costs under $60! Add to cart quickly—it's nearly sold out.
Seashell Anklet
Seashell jewelry is back in full force for the warmer season ahead—specifically the bohemian-cool shell anklets that have been taking over our feeds lately—worn with everything from sporty sandals to party shoes. Trendy and easy on the wallet.
Wide Statement Belt
Wide statement belts were seen all over the F/W 19 runways—cinched at the waist over blazers, coats, dresses, and pants. Black & Brown's of-the-moment mock crock belt is a current fashion-girl favorite.
Brown Leather Mules
Brown leather mules are having a major moment right now. By Far's $365 Libra leather mules are trending hard, and so are Mango's more affordable $120 classic slip-on sandals. This style is bound for cult status.
Zebra-Print Dress
Animal prints continue their sartorial domination—in particular the tiger print, which is reigning supreme. We're already seeing the fashion crowd all over this yellow H&M zebra print dress from its Studio collection.
Sporty Sandals
Sporty sandals made an unexpected appearance all over the spring 2019 runways and are quickly dominating our Insta feeds. While there are certainly more expensive designer iterations on the market, comfortable and cool Teva sandals are the easiest way to nail the trend.
Wristlet Bucket Bag
The likes of Tamu McPherson, Linda Tol, and Yoyo Cao (regulars in every street style gallery) have been seen toting around expensive-looking (yet affordable!) Charles & Keith handbags—specifically the Wristlet handle bucket bag, which has been selling out fast. It comes in three cool colors and truly defies its price tag. We also predict the brand's brand-new super-chic Angular Crossbody Bag will be a hit among the fashion crowd.
Up next, these are the jean trends we'll be wearing in six months.
