5 Cool Looks to Wear to the Gym (and Beyond)
Sponsor Content Created With Target
Honestly, it's been a while since we interpreted the active part of activewear to strictly mean working up a sweat. We're just as likely (okay, more likely, even) to wear our favorite leggings and sports bras on a morning coffee run as we are on an actual run, and items from our gym drawers are increasingly ending up in other sections of our wardrobes.
The best activewear brands are getting this and designing high-performance, high-cool-factor pieces we'll be wearing whether there's a yoga class in sight or not. JoyLab, the activewear line we co-designed with Target, is hitting this out of the park right now, offering up so many good prints and on-trend pieces designed with this season's styles in mind. Behold five cool ways we're sneakily wearing activewear every day—no gym necessary.
With '80s-inspired fashion taking the reins once again, we can't be expected to hold back from channeling our inner Jane Fonda. Loud prints, colorblocking, exaggerated shoulders—we'll take it all. This look gets a modern twist by way of the leggings' mesh paneling and high-rise fit, but that doesn't mean we wouldn't head straight to an aerobics class hoping to hear "Girls Just Want to Have Fun."

A quick scroll through our Instagram feed confirms that crop tops deserve serious attention this season. We'll be getting double the use out of our favorite fashion-forward sports bras by pairing them with high-waisted bottoms of every description. To keep things really slick, an all-white culotte-and-blazer look allows the bra to pop without ever revealing itself as the high-performing, sweat-wicking garment that it is.

Heading to yoga or Pilates (and then off to run 50+ errands after)? Stylish printed leggings and a relaxed tee are your very best friends on days like these. The simple look feels cool and effortless, especially when your leggings are just this good.
What did we do before embracing the ease of bodysuits? We're really not sure. This gray number looks flawless tucked into dark denim jeans, and our go-to floral bomber jacket (can't get enough of this print) finishes off the elevated yet casual look. Bonus points will definitely be awarded for a belt bag and hot-ticket lucite heels.
Spring is seeing no shortage of bold shades, from poppy reds to marigold yellows to ocean blues. We're leaning into the bright hues in all aspects of our style, particularly our workout-wear. Oh, and these seamless fabrics? Beyond comfortable.
Want more fun activewear in your life? Of course you do. Shop the full JoyLab collection available exclusively at Target.
