Adidas has gotten into the habit of bringing back some of its most iconic styles from decades past, which is how the Stan Smith and Superstar crazes came to be. And the Adidas Originals powers that be are still at it. The latest re-release is one that originated in the 1950s as a pair of soccer shoes but reached peak popularity in the 1990s: the Samba sneakers. As Footwear News points out, "The Millennial obsession for this type of childhood nostalgia is well documented, which is perhaps why Adidas has decided to re-release the iconic sports shoe."

As of yesterday, the original unisex style is available in a variety of hues, and this time around, Adidas designed an updated version exclusively for women, the Sambarose. They feature a platform sole and soft, smooth leather and are sure to be a strong contender for your go-to summer sneakers.
