I've Created the Perfect 2020 Capsule and It's Made Up of 12 Pieces
This is a time of year for reflection, and this often comes hand in hand with a wardrobe clearout and a plan for how we are going to buy better this year. The idea of a capsule wardrobe is something which is resonating more and more with British shoppers, but with the incredible speed of trends, it can sometimes be difficult to select the items that will become classics rather than passing fads. After writing our extensive spring/summer 2020 trend report, where I spoke to a number of buyers to find out the catwalk looks that will find a way into our wardrobes, I have a clear idea of the best investments for 2020.
Many fashion critics have described the 2020 collections as "boring," but in my opinion, they are realistic and reflect a growing desire for long-lasting classics. I have put together a capsule of the 12 pieces which you won't regret buying in 2020.
Many of the items you will already find in your wardrobe, such as minimal black dresses, a trouser suit and a trench coat. The more statement items on this list are still relatively simple, such as thong sandals, Bermuda shorts and leather separates. Keep scrolling to shop the 12 pieces that you won't regret buying in 2020.
