A Definitive List of SJP's Chicest-Ever Shoes
There wasn’t a series of Sex and the City that aired without a major shoe storyline. Boyfriends came and went, but shoes were Carrie Bradshaw’s enduring love. There was the time she was mugged for her Monolos, the one where she gets shoe-shamed by her married friend and the shoe proposal in the first movie with those now iconic blue Monolos. Off screen, Sarah Jessica Parker isn’t short of her own envy-inducing heels, so it was a no-brainer that she translated her expertise into a business in 2014, launching the SJP Collection. The latest collection has just landed on Amazon UK, so we’ve chosen our favourites to shop now. We’re also offering up a style refresher from Carrie and SJP via a recap of their most inspiring shoe looks. Keep scrolling to take a look at SJP’s best shoe moments,
This slinky Mr. Big reunion outfit includes crystal-studded PVC heels and made us all want to do the nude trend.
Who could forget “A Woman’s Right to Shoes,” the episode in which Carrie retaliated against a married friend’s shoe-shaming by writing a wedding gift list containing just one item: the Manolo Blahnik d’Orsay heels that were stolen from the woman’s house? They look damn good, even with noughties capris.
These were the shoes that sparked the line “Hello, lover!” Carrie couldn’t resist buying these hot-pink Christian Louboutin heels for her last date with Mr. Big before he left New York for Napa. Sadly, they became a casualty when Miranda’s water broke. RIP.
A million hearts broke when SATC ended, and for her final small-screen appearance, Carrie was dressed in red Manolos. A subtle exit shoe choice for her but a dreamy partner for her OTT fur and voluminous gown.
We all know the wedding shoes Carrie ended up wearing on her real big day, but on the one that wasn’t meant to be, she ran after Mr. Big in these towering gold gladiators—an impressive feat, even for SJP.
The costume department pulled out all the stops for the second SATC movie, hence these £1975 gold Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels.
Carrie was renowned for never playing it safe fashion-wise, and this look for the first SATC movie proved one of the most divisive, teaming flirty prints with tough accessories. Dior’s Mad Max heels were a serious statement.
Alas, SJP couldn’t be just shoe-loving Carrie forever; her latest show, Divorce, has become a huge hit, and her red carpet style is as on point as ever. These rust-hued wrap-around heels are from her SJP Collection, naturally.
Even if she’s wearing a showstopping dress like this Needle & Thread number, SJP isn’t one to underplay it with her accessories. Here, she chose a pair of her SJP Collection heels in bold teal satin for the 2017 Accessories Council Awards red carpet.
Perhaps in another life, Carrie would have worn these on her wedding day.
Sky-high but totally worth the pain—these velvet pumps would look amazing poking out from under a midi.
These metallic pumps have all the sass of Carrie’s “Right to Shoes” heels.
It’s easy to see why these are named after Carrie.
