The First 5 Things My Favorite French Girl Is Buying Next Year
While there are tons of stylish French fashion girls I follow, Najma Ahmed is arguably one of my all-time favorites. She is continually impressing me with her ability to style basic pieces in innovative ways while also introducing me to new trends that somehow manage to feel timeless. I don't know how she does it, so instead of going on wondering, I often reach out to her to inquire about all the items she is eyeing now. I figured the first step to dressing more like my French style icon would be to see what she is shopping for at any given time, and ahead, you'll get a peek into Najma's 2021 style.
Najma was so kind as to list out the first 5 items she plans on buying next year. Naturally, I wanted each item more than the next, and I have a strong feeling you will too. From chunky Mary-Jane shoes to pastel outerwear, if you've been looking for a reason to get even more excited for the end of 2020, let this shopping roundup be it.
1. Suit Vest
"I’ve seen suit vests all over social media and in the streets and I'm sold. They look so cute layered over a turtleneck, under a blazer, or even worn buy itself as a top."
2. Pastel Outerwear
"As we get closer to spring I’m eager to switch out my neutral colored winter coats for pastel-colored ones to keep me warm during those slightly cold spring days. Nothing says spring like a pretty pastel."
3. Silk Patterned Scarf
"I’m a big fan of my neural colored everyday headscarves but I can’t wait to mix things up and wear more silk head scarfs with a fun print that gives that little extra touch to an outfit."
4. Chunky Mary-Janes
"I’ve been wanting to get a pair of these after seeing them all over the runway this year and I can’t wait to get my hands on the Nodaleto Bulla Babies pair."
5. Blazer With Sharp Shoulders
"I really love '80s fashion and one thing I really want to buy or thrift is a blazer with a really bold shoulder. It's a very fun twist on your everyday blazer and makes you look like a total boss lady."
