The 5 Pieces Fashion Girls Are Wearing on Repeat This Season
Sponsor Content Created With Target
When it comes to fall and winter style, many fashion girls subscribe to the formula of moody colors and a classic coat as their everyday uniform. But if you’re ready and willing to switch up your cold-weather wardrobe a bit, turn your attention to It girls Jessica Hoppe of Nueva Yorka and Sara Azani of Style MBA.
Pulling inspiration from the season’s biggest trends, the bloggers styled fresh new looks using pieces from our Who What Wear collection, offering up two fun easy-to-wear outfits you’ll have on repeat this season (and beyond). Think new silhouettes and elevated metallics, as well as fall-inspired florals and of-the-moment velvet. (Best of all, you probably already have a few similar items in your closet.)

Velvet Slip Dresses

According to Azani, if there’s one item you should be wearing this season, it should be a slip dress—specifically a velvet one. “Not only is it on trend and versatile, the luxe fabric makes it super cozy too,” she says.
Bell-Sleeve Tops

Give the term “arm party” a whole new meaning with one of the season’s most playful trends. When your basic top-and-denim combo needs an upgrade, take a cue from the runways and opt for a top with bell sleeves. The silhouette is right in step with the industry’s current obsession with all things ’70s-inspired.
Metallic Skirts

During the holiday season, Azani gravitates toward pieces that are equal parts versatile and festive. “A metallic skirt can sometimes be over the top, but because this one is silver and only has a hint of sparkle, it has potential to be worn year-round,” she explains.
Reimagined Cardigans

When you think winter fashion, you automatically think of coats. This season, however, Hoppe says she’s leaning on reimagined styles like long cardigans that mimic details of a traditional coat but has a slimmer silhouette. “I’m really into layering, but sometimes it’s hard to do so when wearing something more bulky,” she says. An oversize cardigan gives you the same effect and gives you more flexibility when styling a head-to-toe look.
Floral Midi Dresses

Florals don’t have to be relegated to the back of your closet during the winter; just opt for a moodier hue and a longer hemline. “I enjoy bucking traditions,” says Hoppe. “I will often wear items that can be viewed as faux pas, like florals in the winter or a hot-pink manicure at a holiday party. But this dress can totally be worn year-round, thanks to the rich color scheme and the fit.”
